Roo Gets Older
For Roo’s birthday all he wanted to do was take his cousins to Chuck E. Cheese’s and play - play - play. So that is exactly what we did.
But first things first. He awoke and had the traditional birthday breakfast, or at least the part that really matter, the orange rolls. We then quickly got ready so we could be to the place by 10:00 in order to beat the crowds. And beat the crowds we did.
There was not a dingle person in the place when we arrived and nobody else came until all our tokens were spent and we had almost finished eating. Mom knew exactly how to keep it real. We played for about an hour and a half before the pizza was ready and then we ate and finally we sang, ate cake and opened presents.
Again this year Mom could not settle for just one cake, although we finally did cut out all the extra parties Mom actually made three cakes. So what were they and did they require the same amount of preparation and time we have all grown accustomed with? You bet! You can see the pictures in the album above.
Roo was very excited with all the presents he received but in true boy fashion after we returned home he wanted to know what else he was getting.
Then today (his actual birthday) we had his birthday dinner consisting of three types of kabobs (steak, chicken and shrimp), huge baked potatoes, rice (with cinnamon and sugar) and crystal light to drink. And for dessert we had frappe made with vanilla ice cream, rainbow sherbet, and 7-UP.
Now everyone is running around down stairs celebrating the fact that is it spring break and they do not have to go to school tomorrow!!
HAPPY BIRTHDAY BUDDY!!!
