Anything But Bland
Anything But Bland

Muskegon
Some good friends of ours invited us to go camping with them. We love camping but have not done much of it since the beginning of law school to the present. There is always the annual River Trip but noting additional, that is until this year.
We took them up on there offer and after much planning and many changes we finally made it to the camp ground. We arrived in the afternoon on Friday and set up camp. Shortly after we set up the weather changed and rain moved in. It was never pouring down but there was a steady mist most of the time, especially whenever the kids got the idea that we should venture down to Lake Michigan.
Unfortunately I am getting old and when I do not update immediately I quickly loose the memories of the great times that we had. Such is the case with this trip.
I do remember the great times that the kids had riding there bikes up and down the camp ground roads. It brought back memories of the camping I used to do with my family. We did make it to the Lake one afternoon and as you can see from the pictures the rain moved in, however this did not dampen the kids spirits even if id did dampen their skin.
On Saturday we went on a bike ride and the kids surprised both Mom and I and made it the entire ride, over five miles.
We ate at the local dairy and visited an orchard (Michigan orchards are the best) where the kids played for hours on the tractors, the slides, and the bouncy thingie that was half buried in the ground.
We made tentative plans to do some additional camping before the weather changed on us but those never materialized. Simply leaves us something to shoot for next year, right!
